More take homes, fewer clinic visits.

Sonara Health was built on the belief that you should be able to focus on your life goals and treatment - at the same time.

Sonara is a web app (no downloads needed, just a web browser!) that makes treatment more convenient by allowing you to record your dose instead of going to the clinic.

Sonara is not an OTP (opioid treatment provider) and does not prescribe methadone.

To get methadone for an opioid dependency, you must work with a specially trained physician at an OTP. You can start with the federal online treatment locator to find a provider near you.

Got Questions? We’re here to help.

  • Email Sonara Support at support@sonarahealth.com or call 619-613-2394.

  • Sonara is only available at select OTPs in Oregon, California, Georgia, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, and New Mexico. If your OTP partners with Sonara then your counselor can help you sign up for Sonara. Check with your counselor to see if your OTP partners with Sonara.

If we do not currently work with your OTP, join our waitlist below for updates as we expand!

  • If you miss your dosing window, you won’t be able to record that dose through Sonara. You should still take your dose as prescribed. The next time you use the platform, Sonara will ask why you missed a dose. Please write a short message to your care team to explain what happened.

  • If you don’t record your video, your care team will follow up with you to see what happened. If you miss multiple dosing windows, your care team might decide that Sonara is not the right fit for you at this time. This depends on your OTP’s policies.

  • If you don’t have internet or cell phone service during your dosing window, then Sonara will direct you to record a backup recording.

On your welcome screen under the blue button that says “Take my dose,” there will be an option that says “Having issues? Use External Recording.” Click this option and you will be able to upload a video of you taking your medication.

  • If your QR code does not automatically scan, a message will pop up telling you to show the front and back of your bottle. Make sure to rotate the bottle so all sides are shown, then click continue and record your dose.

  • Nope! Sonara will automatically save your username and password when you log in the first time. Your phone will also give you the option to save your password the first time you log in. When asked, allow your phone to save your password.

If you get a new phone, you may need to re-enter your username and password the first time you use it.

  • To reset your password, go to sonara.app. Enter your email or phone number, select “Next,” and then “Trouble signing in?” Follow the instructions on the page to reset your password.

If these steps do not work, contact Sonara Support by emailing support@sonarahealth.com or calling 619-613-2394.

  • When you begin using Sonara, your counselor will tell you the actions that may lead to your suspension from Sonara. If your care team decides that Sonara is not the right fit for you, they will set your account to inactive.

If you and your care team decide you’re ready to start using Sonara again in the future, your counselor will set your account to active. Sonara is not able to change to your account settings without the permission of your counselor or care team.
